As the film Greyhound starring Tom Hanks is due to be released in May 2020, Jillian Taylor from Penguin Random House takes a look at the inspirations behind many of CS Forester’s books, from his early crime novels, through to his popular Hornblower series, to the Good Shepherd on which Greyhound is based.

This event is part of Essex Book Festival’s Golden Age of Crime Weekend, taking place at the Park Inn Palace Hotel in Southend-on-Sea on 16 & 17 March.
