Award-winning travel writer Melissa Shales will lead a workshop that explores the layers at the heart of England’s first city, from Roman Camolodunum to twenty-first century Colchester. Participants will be asked to spend an hour or two looking around the area before joining together to create micro travel stories with a small geography but a long timeline.
