A read through of ‘Time of the Rumour’, a play about the peasants revolt, by Poppy Corbett.

The play was developed alongside The People of 1381 – an AHRC funded project set to produce the most comprehensive interpretation of the Peasants’ Revolt to date. The revolt was one of the largest popular uprisings in medieval Europe and rocked the country in the summer of 1381.

The reading will be performed by members of the research team and members of the Film, Theatre and Television department from the University of Reading.

After the reading there will be a Q&A with the playwright and project team.
