Thanks to a generous grant from Arts Council England, our successful Crowdfunding Project, and continued support from our other funding partners, Essex Book Festival will be going ahead this year.
Obviously, given the swiftly changing situation the festival will be a bit different this year. We are moving the bulk of the festival activity to June – August. While most of our June events will continue to take place online, the hope is that by July we will be able to host in person events once again. Running alongside this we are planning a series of exciting author/artist walks across the county, along with three Essex Book Camps (Colchester, Chelmsford and Cressing Temple) offering a host of outdoor talks, performances, workshops, and storytelling for all ages.
